We at Tonn are about design, passion and imagination. There is nothing we love more than designing and building beautiful, lightweight and modern wood surfboards (other than of course surfing one of our boards!!!).
Our boards were born through a combined love of surfing and wood and a constant awareness that we need a more sustainable and less polluting option to regular foam core surfboards. With that drive and knowledge of wood, we at Tonn came up with a unique build construction that after five years of research and development was ready for production.

Every Tonn board is carved out of solid wood, it’s shape and honeycomb heart is nature's most ingenious design solution. This design makes for a lightweight board which is lighter than your throw away Polyurethane core board and offers a beautiful flex that loads up and releases like nothing else!
Each board is aesthetically unique because of it’s beautiful wood grain pattern and each board is glassed to perfection with environmentally sound super sap resin. These boards are built so well, they are intended to last your whole life.
A board that could last a lifetime would need to be not only a good surfboard, but a great one...

The Blackbird
The DouglasThe Douglas took a full five years to develop. We are satisfied that the Douglas combines all of the best elements of the various longboards we have ridden over the years. A great all-round longboard must catch early, it needs to be able to take a high trim, you’ve got to be able to control your speed, it’s got to surf off the tail, noseride, and support you not only in tight manoeuvres but in elongated turns and cutbacks.
The Douglas does all of this with ease and will give you a very capable and stable surf platform. The Douglas will surf as hard as you want to go when needed, but will cruise, flow and trim beautifully until you need to cutback and then you will discover it’s supportive pedigree.

The HudsonThe Hudson is a mid length prince full of style and speed. It was developed from favourite mid-lengths without the usual limitations. The Hudson is a versatile board and is suitable for knee high to double overhead! It is a board that carves, trims, highlines, hacks and cheats. Surf it off the tail, surf it on the nose, tuck in then shoot out and hold those wide open cutbacks effortlessly.

The LysanderIf you are new to surfing, returning to surfing or you simply don’t get to surf as much as you want, The Lysander is for you!. This board was designed and developed so that when you do surf you will be up and riding those waves. Designed so that it can be easily transported inside a vehicle, it’s large and supportive volume enables effortless paddling.
Its unique bottom contours will enable you to catch virtually every wave and enable a rewarding surf experience that will let you progress for years to come.

The Neo FishThe Neo Fish meaning new... Our Neo Fish is a direct homage to the 1965 Steve Lis creation that has seen a huge resurgence in surfing culture. Having ridden many fish designs and we loved their speed and but we could too see their limitations. Our goal was simple: combine the classic character and aesthetics of a good fish with the modern surfing requirements. Create a fish that can take a drop, bottom turn hard, can project up through a lip and transition while maintaining it’s speed and control of water. The Neo Fish is just that.
